Additional Requirements for Travel from Kenya to Cairo:
Members participating in the back-to-back trip from Kenya to Cairo, Egypt are required to be vaccinated for Yellow Fever at least ten (10) days or more before travelling to Kenya and must present proof of vaccination upon their arrival to Egypt. Please insure you have your vaccination documents with you before traveling to Kenya if you are planning to continue your journey to Cairo, Egypt. A yellow fever vaccination certificate in required to enter Egypt.
Yellow Fever Vaccine: Proof of Vaccination
The International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP, sometimes called the “yellow card”) is your proof that you have been vaccinated against yellow fever. You will receive the ICVP when you get vaccinated. Along with your passport, present the original signed and stamped ICVP (not a photocopy or screenshot) to immigration officials in all countries requiring proof of vaccination.
Precautionary measures to passengers coming from countries infected by Yellow Fever:
- All Passengers age 9 months or more arriving to Egypt from countries infected with Yellow Fever must be in possession of valid International Vaccination Certificate against Yellow Fever.
- Transiting passengers via Egypt (for more than 12 hours) and coming from countries infected with Yellow Fever must be in possession of a valid International Vaccination Certificate against Yellow Fever.
- All Passengers arriving from countries infected with Yellow Fever must be in possession of valid International Vaccination Certificate against Yellow Fever and in case of not having a Vaccination Certificate he/ she will be quarantined for six days from the date of travel of the passenger from the affected country.
- In case an international certificate of vaccination has been submitted that has not elapsed ten (10) days (not valid), the passenger will be subjected to the quarantine procedures for the remaining period for the completion of the validity ofthe vaccination and the vaccination certificate
